HIGH & LOW ROPES  INSTRUCTOR

TRAINING

Traditional high ropes courses allow participants to challenge themselves whilst being supported in accordance with experiential learning concepts and challenge by choice methods. The Traditional high ropes instructor facilitates these activities and ensure the safety of the participants via a semi direct belay safety system. The instructor instructs his group in the correct techniques and supervises both the participants and the belayers. Besides covering the correct belay techniques and how to instruct these, a large part of this course is focussed on coaching and support.

The Traditional high ropes instructor is often employed at a company with several teambuilding challenges at height such as: Jacobs Ladder, High All Aboard and the Seesaw.

As with traditional high ropes, with low ropes participants challenge themselves and often their group when trying to successfully take part in the element. This is also where experiential learning concepts and challenge by choice methods are used. The Traditional low ropes instructor will facilitate the activities where participants use elements which aren’t more than 1 meter above the ground. The instructor will explain the challenge and the spotting method and follow this up with supervision and securing safety for all.

The ECRA certificate High & Low Ropes Instructor allows you to work at any ERCA affiliated park.
